  • How often do you run tours and is there a specific schedule? We schedule tours based on demand. You can contact us to make a booking or check our calendar here [LINK] to see upcoming public tours.
  • What is the average size of a public tour group? Tour group size varies by date and tour. Most public tour groups range from 4 to 10 people.

  • Can I modify a tour? Please contact us to inquire about any customizations. Modifications can only be made to private bookings.
  • What languages do the guides speak? Our guides are bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish. Public tours are always conducted in English. Additional languages such as French and German may be able to be accommodated for private tours with advanced notice.
  • Can I bring children on these experiences? Yes! Children are welcome on any of our tours. Children under 2 years old are free.
  • Can I do the tours if I have a medical or physical condition? This varies by tour and condition so it is best to contact us to discuss any medical or physical conditions. For those with mobility issues, private transport can be arranged for an additional fee for local tours to accommodate participant needs.

  • What’s included in the price? Specific tour inclusions can be found on their relevant pages. Tours generally include a bilingual guide, all required transport, and all workshop and entrance fees.
  • What is your refund and cancellation policy? Impact Experiences is not able to issue any refunds or cancel tours. Tours can be rescheduled to another date/time with 1 weeks’ notice or longer.
  • Do I have to make a reservation or can I just show up? Please contact us in advance to reserve a place on any tour. We cannot guarantee availability for tour walk-ins.
  • How far in advance should I book a tour? We can book tours as far in advance as 6 months. We request a minimum notice of 24 hours to schedule any experience to ensure guide and provider availability.
  • How can I pay? What are the payment methods? Payments are accepted via PayPal and in our offices in cash USD or cash GTQ. Pre-payment is required to make any reservation.
  • I don’t want to reserve online. Can I come by your office? Yes, you may make your reservation and pay in our offices. We are located at 4a Calle Oriente #28C and open 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday.

  • What should I wear and bring? Specific lists of what to wear and bring can be found on the relevant pages of each experience. For any experience, participants should wear good walking shoes, have sun and rain protection, and an adequate amount of water for their tour.
  • Where do tours meet? Our cultural half-day experiences depart from our offices located in central Antigua just a few blocks east of the central park and easily reachable on foot from anywhere in downtown Antigua. Our address is 4a Calle Oriente #28C. All adventure and multi-day experiences include pick-up from your accommodation.
  • Can I get picked up in my accommodation? All adventure and multi-day experiences include pick-up from your accommodation. For our cultural half-day experiences, pick up from accommodation can be arranged for private group bookings.

  • Once donated, where does the money from my tour go? 100% of the net profits from any experience or service booked with Impact Experiences is donated directly to NGO Niños de Guatemala. This revenue is then used with the general donation fund to support teacher salaries, building maintenance, the purchase of school supplies and more.   • Are there other ways I can help? Yes! There are many ways to support Niños de Guatemala whether it be volunteering, making a donation, sponsoring the education of a student, or referring someone to our tours. Find out more here: [LINK].

  • Are Antigua and Guatemala safe? Though we have not had any safety issues on our tours, participants should follow the advice and directions of their tour guide at all times when on experiences as well as use common sense precautions. Guatemala’s tourist destinations are typically very safe as there is an increased police presence and minimal activity by criminal organizations in these locations. Most travelers visit Guatemala without incident.
  • Where should I stay in Antigua? There are many accommodation options in Antigua. If you need somewhere to stay while here, consider choosing our Luxury Homestay or Good Hotel, a former private mansion with a minimalistic design infused with local touches, with 100% of profits donated to NGO Niños de Guatemala.
